Highways, Airport Development or Rail-related claims

Claims are made under the provisions of the Part 1 of the Land Compensation Act 1973.

Thomson Broadbent is widely respected for its national success in negotiating compensation for new and upgraded highways and for its ability to efficiently handle a large volume of cases.

In recent years, we have negotiated over 7,500 claims in relation to the new and widened sections of the M60 in Manchester against the Highways Agency and over 2,000 claims arising from the construction of the M6 toll road.

Our experience extends to dealing with over 50 different compensation authorities relating to over 200 separate transport schemes.

During 2010 landmark cases were settled with Manchester Airport for claims due to the construction of the second runway and with London and Continental Railways due to noise nuisance arising out of the use of HS1 (the Channel Tunnel rail link).
